We want everyone who visits Mead Barn Holiday Cottages to have the perfect holiday so we do all we can to ensure this happens. The number of return guests we have every year is testament to the effort we put in making your holiday exceptional. Here are a few holiday suggestions along with information on how we will help make it unforgettable.

Our cottages are available all year and short breaks for two or three nights are available except in July and August with limited availability in June and September. We also regularly provide great offers on out of season holidays  our current offers are available by clicking here.

For individuals, couples and small families we have three perfect cottages. Barley Barn can sleep up to 5 people if three children share and is also our dog-free cottage for allergy sufferers. Red Cottage and Wheat Barn are both dog friendly and can sleep up to 4 people. Red Cottage is on the ground level with only a couple of small steps.

For larger families and groups we have two wonderful cottages. Great Tythe Barn is our largest cottage sleeping up to 8 people in luxury over two floors. If you need less accommodation, Rye Barn will sleep up to 6 people. In both of these cottages the living areas are on the ground floor as are a bedroom with en-suite wet room, ideal for those who are less able.

If you are planning a larger group holiday or event we can hire two or more cottages enabling you to accommodate up to 26 people at once on our holiday complex. Welcombe is the perfect area for dog lovers and four of our five cottages (not Barley Barn) are dog friendly. We are very happy for you to bring up to two dogs per cottage. Locally we have some stunning walks, ideal for your dogs. Our beach is dog friendly and they are allowed on off the lead all year round. Dogs are also welcome in our local pub, The Old Smithy, where you may meet Richard and Jennys dogs Cliff and Smithy.

North Devon has a deservedly wonderful reputation for walking. The staggering views from the spectacular coastal walks, the beauty of the countryside and the variety of flora and fauna have ensured that locality has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are ideally positioned with a number of walks leading from the cottage site and linking up with the coastal footpath more information can be found by clicking here.

We do all we can to ensure those who are less able have as an enjoyable holiday as everyone here at Mead Barn Holiday Cottages. Both Great Tythe Barn and Rye Barn have living areas, bedrooms and wet-rooms on the ground floor with no step access. For smaller families or groups Red Cottage is also on the ground floor with access via two small steps.

Mead Barn Holiday Cottages is the perfect holiday destination for families. On site we have a play area, trampoline and tennis court where children can run off excess energy. We also have a games room with pool, table tennis, toys and games. The quiet beach is just a short walk away where children can play in the sand, body board or surf. Our local pub, The Old Smithy, is very child friendly and all are welcome in the bar area.
