Our cottages are situated in a quiet location, mainly unchanged for over 150 years. All our cottages were originally traditional stone-built barns that have been converted and are light and airy with good modern facilities while still preserving the character of the buildings and a homely atmosphere.
They are graded as three and four star by the English Tourism Council and are complemented by our gardens with tennis court, play area with swings and trampoline. We have a pergola where you are invited to enjoy a barbecue and games room with table tennis and pool table. We have a large private car park at the back of the site where you can leave your car well away from the road.
The two large cottages (Great Tythe Barn and Rye Barn) have accommodation and wet rooms at ground level for those who are less able. For families with young children we will provide high chairs and cots. Each cottage is provided with milk, TV magazine, homemade cake, tea, coffee and sugar.
Dogs are very welcome most of the cottages and on the site and the local walks are perfect for dog owners. Please note that only two pets are allowed per property. We keep Barley Barn dog free for those of our guest suffering from allergies.
Group accommodation can be arranged for large family gatherings or similar functions by hiring two or more cottages. We can cater for up to 26 people.
