Barley Barn is the largest of our two bedroom properties. It is part of the upper floor of a stone barn and accessed by a small stone stairway. The cottage has recently had a complete and thorough refurbishment. We have carefully blended old and new, aiming to preserve the atmosphere of the old farm and at the same time give you the benefits of modern comfort in order to make your holiday more relaxing and memorable.
On entering the property, there is a large open-plan dining room with pine dining furniture and a new well-equipped maple kitchen with built-in oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. The living area has comfortable settees, night storage heater and wood-burner style electric fire, colour TV with a VCR, DVD and hi-fi.
There are two good-sized bedrooms, a double and a twin, each with new pine bedside cabinets, set of 5 drawers and wardrobe. In the twin room an additional pull-out bed, which can be used for a family of five with three young children, is available for a small additional charge.
The cottage has a fully modern bathroom with a good-sized bath and a modern power shower over head with screen, towel rail and shaver point. All the windows are double-glazed and face west out to the sea which can be seen depending on time of year and tree cover.
From the entrance, the cottage has access to a large, sunny, decked, courtyard garden with flower beds and garden furniture.
As we would like to welcome all kind of guests, we keep this cottages pet free for people with allergies, which means that no pets are allowed in this property.
