Wheat Barn has gone through a complete refurbishment in spring 2010. It now stands fresh and light with old beams revealed and, wherever possible, the old Barn is brought back to its original style. It is a first floor accommodation accessed via four stone steps overlooking the barbeque and garden area.
Wheat Barn is one of our smaller barns, very cosy and ideal for a family, a couple or group of up to four friends. Due to its size, we are unable to provide an additional cot for this property.
The entrance door opens onto a large comfortable open plan lounge with kitchen/dining area. It has comfortable modern settees, TV, VCR, DVD and hi-fi, night storage and electric panel heating with a wood burner style electric stove. The newly installed maple kitchen has new pine dining furniture, a fan oven and ceramic hob, microwave and fridge-freezer.
Wheat Barn has two bedrooms off to the right of the living room; one double room and a twin room. Both rooms overlook the courtyard and flowerbeds facing eastwards to the meadows beyond.
Adjacent to the twin bedroom is a family-size bathroom with power shower over bath, which has, like the rest of the barn, benefited greatly from a recent complete refurbishment and modernisation.
As all windows have full double glazing, Wheat Barn is also ideal for spring, autumn or winter breaks. As both Wheat and Barley Barn are up a number of outside steps, they are not suitable for those, who are less able or have difficulty with walking.
